Parents Regret Teaching Toddler The Words 'Penis' And 'Vagina' After Embarrassing Exchange

These ParentsRegret Teaching Their 2-Year-Old The Words 'Penis' And 'Vagina'

Two parents totally underestimated the consequences of teaching their two-year-old daughter the words "penis" and "vagina" rather than a euphemism or nickname.

The embarrassed dad shared a hilarious exchange on Reddit that happened between him and his two-year-old after she acquired the new words in her vocabulary.

He wrote: "It started with simple 'daddy has a penis, mummy has a vagina, I have a vagina' conversations.

"But today, she took things to another level... the following conversation happened while all three of us (wife, daughter and I) were hanging out in our daughter's bedroom while my wife changed her diaper."

The exchange went like this:

Daughter: I have a vagina. Daddy has a penis.

Wife: Yes. Daddy also has a nose. You have a nose too. (We try and broaden the conversation to talk about normal body parts too)

Daughter: Daddy is a boy. I am a little girl.

Wife: Yes. You are daddy's little girl.

Daughter: Pause

Daughter: Daddy has a little penis.

[Wife and husband burst out in laughter]

Dad: Darling, you can't say that. Don't say that.

Daughter: Daddy has a big penis.

"We are so screwed," wrote the dad at the end of the post.

Thankfully, other parents made him realise he wasn't alone as they commented in their droves to share very similar, awkward situations that had happened to them.

This exchange comes not long after another dad admitted on Reddit that his daughter left him humiliated by shouting a very embarrassing remark about his penis in a public loo.

And yes, everyone heard.
