BBC Question Time Audience Contributions Have A Habit Of Stealing The Show

There's almost nothing more patriotic than a tub-thumping, fist-shaking, embarrassment-causing Question Time exchange which proves beyond doubt that when it comes to making politician's squirm, the British public knows best.

Politicians fear the moment an irate audience member takes them to task on national televison, evoking memories of 'The Thick Of It', halting their ministerial ambitions in the process.

But equally as often, audience members steal the show for other reasons. Angry walk outs, bizarre interjections, off-piste commentary, it becomes a veritable feast of all that's great about British democracy.
