Jason Manford has defended the controversial Facebook post that saw his account temporarily suspended, on Friday night.
The British comedian’s page was briefly taken down, after he wrote a lengthy post in response to the horrific terrorist attacks in Paris, which are now said to have killed around 120 people.

Branding the attackers “f***ing cowards”, he said at the time: “Slaughtering innocent unarmed people for what? Families and children enjoying life, theatre, meals?
“For what? In whose name? Are you doing this in the name of your god? Cos I've got news for you, if you think your 'god' is gonna reward you for this type of atrocity then your god is a massive c**t.”
He added: “I hope you are all caught and murdered in a similar agonising way you f**king scumbags.”
Jason’s Facebook page has since been reinstated, with the post removed, though he’s still divided opinion on Twitter, with some agreeing with his overall message, and others accusing him of “Islamophobia” and “hate against Muslims”.
Responding to those accusation, he’s insisted that he wasn’t criticising any religious group in particular, responding: “It was on my own Facebook fan page. I was sharing my opinion online like everybody else.
“I'd say the same no matter what religion. My track record is proof enough I simply dislike extremists. As we all do.”
Meanwhile, former ‘West Wing’ actor Rob Lowe and ‘X Factor’ winner Sam Bailey have both sparked a backlash over reactionary tweets they posted, in response to the acts of terrorism in Paris.
