'EastEnders' Legend Pam St Clement Admits: 'Soap Is Hard To Keep Up With'

‘EastEnders’ legend Pam St Clement has admitted that she finds the BBC soap difficult to follow nowadays.

For over two decades, Pam starred in the show as Pat Butcher, before the character’s death aired on New Year’s Day in 2012.

She’s now revealed that, while she still regularly keeps up with ‘EastEnders’, she doesn’t always understand exactly what’s going on, with the soap’s many twists and turns.

Although her former co-star Barbara Windsor claimed at the time of Pam’s departure from ‘EastEnders’ that she hadn’t wanted her character to be killed off, she’s also now admitted the benefits that come from not being in Albert Square.

“I’ve got time for charity and for travel, I love it and I’ve got time to work, the only pity is I can’t manage all the things I’m offered – everyone’s used to me being on screen permanently.”

Mick and Linda Carter’s much-awaited wedding day is finally here, but a quiet one was never exactly going to be on the cards, with an underwater brawl between the Queen Vic landlord and his nephew, Dean Carter, to look forward to.
