Kanye West has tweeted about one of the most controversial lyrics on his new album ‘The Life Of Pablo’, claiming Taylor Swift actually came up with the idea for the “I made that b**** famous” line about her.

Writing on Twitter - of course - Kanye sought to clarify things, though his explanation directly contradicts a statement previously given by Taylor’s rep.

The track also includes the line, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous”, which has left Taylor’s family understandably unimpressed.

Writing on Twitter, (get comfortable, he goes on for quite a while) Kanye has now said:

However, Kanye’s comments directly contradict a statement given by Taylor’s rep, who, on Friday morning, stated: “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single 'Famous' on her Twitter account.

“She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, 'I made that bitch famous'.”

Taylor’s brother Austin made his dislike of the lyric clear following the album’s Madison Square Garden debut, posting a video of himself throwing his Yeezy trainers away on Instagram.
