Apple WWDC Keynote Set For June 2 2014 As iOS 8 Reveal Looms

And Apple's Next Event Will Take Place On...

Apple has announced that its next big unveiling will take place on 2 June in San Francisco.

That date has just been set for the opening of WWDC, its annual developer's conference.

While no keynote has been specifically set in stone, it is usual for Apple to reveal its latest iOS and OS X innovations at the event, ahead of the next iPhone's release later in the year.

It is thought iOS 8 and perhaps hints at the company's wearable strategy could be included in the announcement.

"Over the past six years a massive cultural shift has occurred," Apple writes. "It's changed how we interact with one another. Learn new things. Entertain ourselves. Do our work. And live our daily lives."

"All because of developers and the apps they create."

The conference is traditionally an almost immediate sell-out, but this year Apple is allotting spaces on a randomised basis, via a lottery.

We'll have to wait until June to see what they've got in store.
