Adam Reed from Percy & Reed looked to Felicity Kendal in The Good Life for hairstyle inspiration at Henry Holland this season. "This is countryside cycling hair", he said. "It's not fluffy or wispy - it's healthy and soft, with a natural gloss, like Barbara Good's after she's just been in the garden. This is hair that everybody wants to have". So how do we get the roughed up yet glossy look?

Reed prepped the hair with Percy & Reed Texturising Spray and pulled a hair wand backwards and forwards through the hair to build up density and texture. Hair was set into a strong side parting and pulled over the ear into a tight ponytail at the nape (a trend to watch for Autumn/Winter) before spray was worked into the hair with fingers. And to finish? Leather cycling caps sat on the top of the head, embossed with HH, of course.

As for the makeup, Lucia Pica from Mac references 70s Tour de France with her "sporty but sophisticated look". "This is healthy, glowing and feminine", she said, with an emphasis on matte, modern red lips to tie in with the paintbox colour palette in Holland's collection.

Pica used Mac Face + Body to bring out natural shine in the skin and used concealer all over, particularly on the eye lids for a fresh feel. Mascara was used on the top lashes only, and perhaps for the first time ever, clumps were actually added into the lashes.

Brows were brushed upwards with a clear Lash Mix Mascara in medium and as for the lips, everything was red. Lip Pencils in Cherry and Red were used before a translucent powder was dusted over the top for a matte finish. A trio of Mac favourites were then applied - Russian Red, Ruby Woo and Lady Danger - for a strong, classic lip. Cheekbones were contoured in a beige shade and shine was added underneath the eyes for that sweaty skin feel.
