Shopping baskets at the ready, there’s a whole new white chocolate range coming from Cadbury.

Available exclusively to Asda stores across the UK, you’ll soon be able to get your confectionery fix in the form of White Giant Buttons 110g (£1), White Chocolate Sharing Bar 180g (£2) and White Chocolate Freddo Treasures 14.4g (65p).

The only bad news is that you’ll have to wait until 29 August, when they hit the shelves.

Nancy Galvin, brand executive for Cadbury said in a press release: “We’re always looking for ways to grow and innovate our Cadbury range and are delighted to be bringing the new Cadbury White Chocolate range to stores across the UK. We can’t wait to hear what our fans think about these delicious new products.”

If you’re still mourning the loss of the Cadbury Dream Bar that launched in 2002 but was discontinued not long after, we don’t blame you, but this new range is set to be the perfect thing to fill the void.

It’s safe to say that the news has been met with praise on Twitter. One user said the announcement had “made her day”.

Another user described it as “a dream come true”.

It appears white chocolate is having something of a resurgence, earlier this summer Kellogg’s unveiled white coco pops, which were so popular, they sold out in Tesco and Asda and were being shopped on Ebay for three times the price.
