Cinderella Surgery: The Plastic Surgery Women Are Getting To Have Perfect Feet

Cinderella surgery, the cosmetic procedure to give you perfect feet, is on the rise with women seeking to change the size and shape of their feet to fit into designer shoes.

American women are increasingly keen to go under the knife in a bid to possess heel-ready feet. While some ask surgeons to adjust the length of their toes for a more aesthetically pleasing peep-toe, others are having fat inserted into their soles to make walking in high heels more comfortable.

According to some reports, one woman even asked a surgeon to amputate her little toes and another requested liposuction on their toes but both procedures were denied.

Dr Ali Sadrieh, a podiatrist at Evo Advanced Foot Surgery in California, told the New York Times the surgeries had become so popular he's coined new names for them. Dr Sadrieh's dubbed toe shortening the "Perfect 10", while he gave toe lengthening the moniker "Model T".

Dr Sadrieh admitted to the paper he initially thought "Cinderella surgery" was a bit vain, but changed his mind as they increased in popularity.

"Patients would bring in shoes they dreamed of wearing. On the surface, it looked shallow," he said. "But I came to see she needs these shoes to project confidence, they are part of her outside skin. That's the real world."

Dr Neal Blitz, another Cinderella surgery practitioner said: "My practice has exploded because of Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin and Nicholas Kirkwood.

"There's nothing like opening a shoe closet that's been closed to somebody for years."

While we've got to admit we'd probably wear our designer heels more often if they were comfy, we're not sure we'd be prepared to get sliced and diced for the privilege.
