Chances are, you've already Googled something today. And when most of us hear about a new diet, before jumping on board and blowing our wages on expensive shakes, our first move is to consult the world's biggest search engine.

Now Google has released its most popular search terms for 2014. That doesn't mean to say these are the best - in fact some are downright harmful.

Ever heard of the Green Coffee Diet or Clean 9 detox? It's probably for the best you haven't. Before opening up Google in a new tab to clue up, allow us to demystify 2014's most searched for diets.
