The new creative director at Gucci, Alessandro Michele, is a man intent on bringing kooky to the catwalk.

Honey Monster-inspired footwear is in this Autumn/Winter, you heard it at Milan Fashion Week first.

You know those hairy, monster feet slippers? That's the vibe, but teamed with floral pleated dresses and specs.

We're guessing that next season is about embracing eccentricity and opting for quirky, comfortable footwear at all costs.

This may be how the Milanese ladies are set on doing things this A/W but, somehow, we can't see this trend catching on.

If these strawberry blonde slippers don't take your fancy (let's face it they're not exactly practical), then the designer also showcased slip-on leather loafers with fur-trim, lace up kitten heel pumps with pom poms and ponyskin clogs.

The clogs, we can do.

Crazy shoes aside, the boho-luxe look totally worked. It's girly (hippy florals) but with a mannish edge (suits, shirts, beanies).

And when you're not wrapped up in a ruffle-trim dress, trench coat and scarf it's about revealing everything. Sheer separates are for those cool about showing skin.
