Amanda Holden Reveals The 'This Morning' Dress Code Rule That Holly Willoughby Often Bends

Those shoes though...

Amanda Holden has just revealed that every outfit she and her fellow host Holly Willoughby wear on ‘This Morning’ is selected with the intention that “everyone can buy it”.

The general rule amongst the breakfast show hosts is that their looks should be made up of high street brands - in case any of their viewers would like to purchase an item of clothing.

“I enjoy the fact people go ‘oh, that jumper looks nice, but I won’t be able to afford it, wait, it’s Marks and Sparks,’ or BHS,” Holden told OK! Online.

″‘This Morning’ makes fashion really accessible to people I think.”

For example, Holden looks so put together in this red jumpsuit from Karen Millen, - a shop on the expensive end of the high street, but at the time of writing this item is in the sale.

However, both Holden and Willoughby do tend to bend this style rule.

Holden paired her high street jumpsuit with a pair of heels from designer Gianvito Rossi, whose heeled pumps are priced from £560.

Willoughby has evolved over the past decade into a style icon for daytime TV and is now known for her daily outfits.

She helpfully tags in all the brands she is wearing on her Instagram every day.

Willoughby’s styling is mostly accessible. However she does blend of low end high street picks with some cheeky luxury items.

For example, Willoughby’s shoe tastes are on the more treat scale when shopping. She also has the same nude stilettos by Gianvito Rossi as Holden.

Though Willoughby recently wore a Kate Spade skirt worth £505, the presenter (and her stylist) usually tend to do a great job in producing outfits which are accessible for the majority.

Here are a few examples of Willoughby utilising the great British high street when keeping up with a variety of trends.

From a tonal raspberry combo to a simple (but of course pink) turtleneck and straight leg trousers, or a classic monochromatic ensemble.

Just like most of the country, we look forward to Willoughby’s sartorial choices.

Shout out to Angie Smith, the celebrity stylist who tends to always get it right.
