Long-Sleeved Swimsuits: Would You Wear One?

Long-Sleeved Swimsuits: Would You Wear One?

If you like your swim gear to give you maximum coverage, you'll love these long-sleeved swimsuits.

They may not be ideal if your single ambition this summer is to work on your tan, but they're still a big deal in the trend stakes this season.

Before you completely shrug off the look, it's worth knowing Asos, Urban Outfitters and ShopBop.com stock some very cool styles. Other brands like Dallas-based sun protectant clothing label Cover are also showcasing "rash guards" (that's what they're calling them) for ladies all about being sun smart.

We're all for playing it safe in the sun and these long-sleeved bikini and onepiece options are exactly that. Plus, they're functional (UV protective fabrics), flattering (max support/coverage) and they tick boxes on the fashionable front.

There's more than the average all-black style on offer too - you can opt for print, cut-out, miss-matchy, floral, high-neck and high-leg designs and still look seriously hot by the pool or on the beach.

While some are a bit pricer, especially those with built-in sun protection (they're like wetsuits), you can also shop yourself a style for around £50 on Revolveclothing.com and Pacsun.com.

What do you think? Pretty practical, no? We're intrigued, although we might stick to wearing high factor suncream for now.
