Microscopic Insect And Plant Camera System 'Nanoflight' Makes Bugs Look Like Aliens (VIDEO)

LOOK: Microscopic Footage Of Bugs Is A Bit TOO Good

If you think bugs are scary in real life you're going to hate this.

German photographer Stefan Diller has perfected a technique to film microscopic details of insects and plants in HD.

Part incredibly beautiful and part out-of-this-world scary it gives an amazing view into sights normally out of bounds for human eyes.

Amazing, but slightly terrifying

Diller spent three years developing the system, called 'nanoflight', which uses computer programs to stitch together images taken with an electron microscope.

The system can take 40 images an hour but a minute of footage is made up of 1500 frames, the process is very time-consuming.
