An in-depth and seriously enjoyable catalogue will set Netflix apart from LoveFilm. The current catalogue for the UK has not yet been revealed, but in the US the streaming library is described by AP as "a mishmash patchwork of high-profile new additions, familiar favorites and stray oddities."

Netflix will go head to head with LoveFilm in the battle for your pound, which will hopefully been competitive pricing and film offerings from both services.

As with seemingly everything these days, Netflix is integrated with Facebook, so mind what you watch.

Britons are spoiled for choice with ways to view TV and film online. Options now include include hyper social Zeebox which received a huge investment today from BSkyB, Xbox Live, the BBC iPlayer and ITV player.
