Attention Single Guys - This Town Entirely Made Up Of Women Seeks Men

If you're a single guy, you might want to consider booking yourself a flight to Brazil.

Noiva do Cordeiro, a small town in Brazil, has a population entirely made up of women - and they've just made an appeal for single men.

The settlement was founded by Maria Senhorinha de Lima in the 1890s after she fled from her forced marriage. It is now home to more than 600 ladies, most aged between 20 and 35.

Although a small proportion of the women are married, their husbands are forced to work away from home and are only allowed to return on weekends. Sons are also sent away when they reach the age of 18.

Speaking to The Mirror, Nelma Fernandes, 23, said although living on the settlement has its benefits, it is nearly impossible to find a romantic partner.

"Here, the only men we single girls meet are either married or related to us, everyone is a cousin. I haven't kissed a man for a long time.

"We all dream of falling in love and getting married. But we like living here and don't want to have to leave the town to find a husband," she said.

But guys, before you dash about the house in search of your passport, you need to have a good long think about whether you really want to live in a "woman's world."

The ladies of Noiva do Cordeiro are appealing for eligible bachelors to visit their community, but are only interested in males who are willing to live by "their rules."

You have been warned.

Being sexual helps you feel more connected to your partner. Sex is a nonverbal experience that helps you communicate in an entirely different way. And it's fun! Make a commitment to sustain your sexual connection through good times and, especially, the more challenging ones. Not to mention, sex is great for stress relief. (credit:Alamy)

If sex is in the calendar tonight (or if you'd like it to be) prepare yourself earlier in the day. Allow yourself to enjoy a "transitional experience." Send your partner a sexy text or a suggestive photo. Take a warm bath and let the stressors of the day slide off. Light some candles, play some relaxing music and set the mood. (credit:Alamy)
Make Sex a Priority (04 of10)

Regularly discuss what sex means to each of you. Talk about fantasies and turn-ons. If you lead a busy life (and who doesn't?), it's perfectly okay to put sex dates on the calendar. Don't worry about scheduled sex being too formulaic -- looking forward to sex is a very good thing. (credit:Alamy)
Empathize with your Partner(05 of10)

Try to understand your partner's thoughts and feelings, and show empathy. Not sure what's going on? Ask. Accept your partner and try not to judge them. Remember, you got into your relationship because you liked who your partner was. Don’t try to change him or her. (credit:Alamy)
Boost Each Other Up(06 of10)

Romantic partners tend to be very critical of each other, and too many years of criticism with the absence of praise can take a huge toll on a love bond. Don't let this happen to your marriage. Be the president of your partner's fan club, and be sure to remind them how terrific they are on a regular basis. (credit:Alamy)

Little acts of kindness go a long way! Show your partner respect. Be sure to say “please” and “thank you.” When you've made a mistake, say you’re sorry. It's simple, but it goes a long way. (credit:Shutterstock)

Defensiveness is always a conversation stopper. Random criticism is dangerous to your partner's self-worth and destructive to a relationship. If you have an issue, think about how you want to present it first. (credit:Alamy)
