The owners of Highclere Castle, where the hit ITV television show is filmed, will be welcoming guests to stay at their West Berkshire estate for the first time in February 2015.

Yes, that's right - the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon will be opening an on-site hotel called London Lodge in the grounds of their castle just in time for Valentine's Day.

Condé Nast Traveller reports it has taken two and a half years to "painstakingly" restore the property built in 1793. Mod cons include televisions, a mini bar and Wi-Fi.

However, the Downton charm is still evident in the lodge, which will set the lucky couple staying there around £350 a night.

"The layout for both lodges has been kept simple," says the Highclere Castle website.

"To the north west, a charming sitting room arranged around a Chesneys wood burner, and fully equipped kitchen behind. Then across the lit, paved walkway to the bedroom lodge, a comfortable double bedroom, bathroom and dressing area."

Fancy living the life of Lady Mary? Highclere's London Lodge is available to book for February 13th 2015 and on specific days through the Easter public opening of the castle. You can find out more details here.
