Robert Pattinson Finds It Hard To Play 'Normal Guys'

Robert Pattinson has been known to come across awkward and to say more than his fair share of head-scratching comments, and his answers in a recent interview confirm he doesn't see himself as your average guy either.

Speaking to Huffington Post ahead of the release of his new movie The Rover, he admitted: "I think lots of people want to do stuff that's relatable, and I want to do stuff that's unrelatable.

"I don't think I have particularly normal emotional reactions to things. So trying to play someone who is just a normal guy...I don't really know how to do it."

Though we have seen the Twilight star do characters more on the relatable spectrum - we're sure we're not the only ones who crushed on him minus his vampy complexion when he played a young vet trying to lure Reese Witherspoon in Water For Elephants.

In his new role, in Rover, he plays a guy in a pretty unusual situation, who's kidnapped by a victim of his brother's car thieving.

We can't wait to catch him in the gritty new flick alongside Guy Pearce, but Rob is less convinced of his own abilities. Explaining that he reads his own reviews, he said: "It's so difficult to figure out if you're doing the right thing.

"I guess there's some way of knowing after reading, sort of. But sometimes it's just incredible how opposite everything can be. It's bizarre. You learn absolutely nothing after, and you just hate bad reviews. You can't even remember the good ones."
