Technically speaking, all clocks are robot clocks. Instead of having to laboriously count out the time, second by second, you can instead leave it to a machine to tell you the time.
This one goes a few steps further. Instead of ancient "hands", passé LED screens or any other normal display tech, this robot actually writes the time out, with a dry erase marker, and uses a built-in eraser to keep it up to date.
