Uber Scheduled Rides Launches In London

Customers will start getting the feature in the next two weeks...

Uber users in London now have the ability to book trips in advance.

From 4pm 25 August users will be able to schedule their trips through the Uber app from 15mins in advance to as many as 30 days in advance.

The app then automatically requests a car on your behalf when it’s time for you to leave.

A word of warning, don’t panic if you don’t see the functionality appear on your phone straight away. Scheduled Rides will initially launch for Uber for Business customers first.

It will be then slowly rolled out among London’s two million Uber users across the next two weeks.

London will be the first major European city to get the feature after the company trialled a ‘soft launch’ in the US earlier this year.

Recently the company unveiled UberEats, a feature which rivals apps like Deliveroo by allowing users to order takeaway food via their Uber app and then have it delivered.

The service has initially launched in the centre of London with plans to roll it out across the wider city over time.
