Man Attempts World's Longest Jump: It Goes Horribly Wrong

This Stunt Is About To Go Horribly Wrong

When skier and professional rally driver Guerlain Chicherit decided to attempt the world's longest jump in a car neither him, nor GoPro had any idea what they'd actually end up with.

Driving a highly modified Mini Cooper, Chicherit planned to jump 360-feet, breaking the world record.

What had originally planned to be a 'here is someone doing something incredible with our product' video changed in an instant into being a video showing a man ultimately face what he thought might be his last moments.

As you can see from the video above, the jump went wrong. Really wrong. What came out of it though was something that is as fascinating as it is invasive, showing Chicherit just as he realises the jump hasn't gone to plan.

Incredibly he survived with minor injuries despite the stomach-churning nature of the incident. Speaking about the crash Chicherit hauntingly almost knew that it was coming:

“When I woke up the morning of jump day, I called my wife and told her that I had a bad feeling. I’ve traveled the world for motorsports and seen hundreds of crashes - multiple car pile ups at high speeds, race cars rolling end-over-end, sometimes on fire.”
