Hiba Khan

People. Politics. Physics. Prose. Philosophy.

Hiba's academic background is in Engineering/Physics, having recently completed Postgraduate study at the University of Oxford. An executive director at The Patchwork Foundation and a graduate of 3FF's Parliamentors Programme, she has worked on addressing political disengagement and disenfranchisement within British communities for the last four years.

Hiba has worked closely with the Muslim community on various fronts, as well as on interfaith initiatives, and assisted policy research for the Governments Commision on Religion and Belief in Public Life in 2015. Passionate about social cohesion and equality, she began a project with The University of Manchester, around promoting female higher education in BAME communities, the first conference for which was held in 2014, and continues to expand.

A keen interest in international development has led Hiba to travel to implement various sustainable development projects in rural Tanzania, and to deliver aid to Syrian refugees in Turkey over the last 3 years. She is currently working on her first novel.
