As your average human being that grew up in the nineties and early noughties; I like to live in a reality that involves Britney and Justin eventually stopping this masquerade of 'living separate and happy lives', and one day get back together.

My argument is by no means that terrorists acting in the name of Islam are right; I believe what has happened is disgusting and wrong and unforgivable. What I also believe, though, is that to tar anybody who appears Muslim with the brush of being a killer is just as unforgivable.

Now, I have a sneaking suspicion that what I have done is state the glaringly obvious for people who have been teaching for a long time, and I apologise if that is the case. I'm new to teaching, however, and I'm pretty horrified. It's a job I want to do, I see it as more of a vocation, and I've been told I'm very good at it, 'outstanding', in fact.

I just want to see if I can; I want to hang around with people in pubs, and go to parties, and see if I can manage it all and have a good time doing these things, all the while being sober as a judge.

So next time your mind wanders to how that friend of yours is, rather than push that thought to the back of your mind, call them. Next time an elderly person starts talking to you, take the time to listen and talk back.

Clearly the basics of what I see a man as are confused. I know what I value in a man, but that is not the same as what I imagine a man to be. Taking my large amount of confusion into account, how on earth must men be feeling?
