Writer, Youth Worker, Childfree, Politically Charged Bisexual, Inspiring Active Citizenship
I am a woman of many hats including research, social media, freelance journalism, copy-writing and PR, active citizenship, and Green Party activism. I am always looking for exciting new projects and initiatives to get my teeth sunk into. My particular areas of interest include LGBT issues, activism, education, youth, domestic abuse, employment, climate change, sustainability, and welfare.
I have a diverse vocational history spanning everything from bar work to running a wedding dress shop, milking cows to PR, hardware to research. I am a determined, enthusiastic, and driven individual with a flair for writing, organisation, and research. I am determined to create positive change in everything I do, and this alone is responsible for carving my career path.

I am not talking about your utility provider, but your personal energy supply. If you are thinking along the lines of food, sleep, etc. this isn't what I mean either. I want to talk about the benefits of clean energy; inspiration and appreciation.
Philosophy is the topic Sophie's World tackles, and philosophy is basically asking the big questions. I answered her question by saying we are here to live the best life possible, to leave a positive imprint, and to ensure that we leave this world in a better way than we found it.
Mental health is a peculiar beast. More often than not, you, or someone close to you, will be suffering or will have suffered from depression and/or anxiety at some point in their lives. The funny thing is that when the sun is shining its brightest, can be when you feel at your darkest.
Young people wearing make-up has always been a topic of debate, but when one of the young carers I work with wrote a song about how it affects her for one of our choir sessions, I felt inspired to write about the issue.
Now we all know that sexuality is a beautiful and colourful continuum, and that the 'B' is often the forgotten letter of 'LGBT' alongside the Q, the P, the I, and the A. Because of bierasure, bi men and women everywhere are probably leading a closeted heterosexual existence - how do I know this? Because I was one of them.
68 celebrities died in 2016. Over 56 million people died in total. So, the RIP posts spamming our Facebook walls are for 0.00012% of the people who actually passed in 2016. Wouldn't it be better if we put all our 'mourning' energy into use, to combat some of the ills that contribute to the deaths of millions?
As The buzzword of the moment, one has to ask oneself what is the true meaning of sustainability? In a nutshell, it is a systemic shift in culture towards the triple bottom line; that is, putting planet and people on a level playing field with profit when it comes to innovation.
The discussions in the media this week as to whether journalist stings are ethical has raised an even more pressing question - why do we hold officials in any form of public office to higher standards than others?
I find that when writing a dating profile, you tend to leave out key facts which may make you seem less desirable. This is wrong, the person you should be with should find every part of you desirable. So I am going to go rogue, and lay all my cards on the table (in no particular order).
Why would you want to watch videos that make you angry? Well because as humans we have a nasty little habit of enjoying the sensation of hate, anger, injustice - we love a good old fist shake and finger point. We love the blame game, and most of all we love to feel like we can't affect change.
I have chosen not to have children. My choices and my reasons are my own - I respect others; society please respect mine. If I do wake up one day and have that urge, I will choose to adopt and give an existing life a life they deserve.
Society is structured for those who cohabit. These beings can blissfully skip through the grey landscape looking down their raised noses at those who walk alone. Like the token awkward third wheel to society, the singleton is shamed, shunned, and at a significant disadvantage when it comes to most things.
