Mairi MacRae works for the International Rescue Committee and is the Director of the international research consortium What Works to Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls in Conflict and Humanitarian Crises. The project Consortium is led by the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in collaboration with CARE International UK (CIUK) and the Global Women’s Institute (GWI) at the George Washington University (GWU). The Consortium’s partnership is strengthened by its academic and research partners, The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), the Africa Population and Health Research Center (APHRC), and Forcier Consulting.
