Mariah Robertson

Artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY

Mariah Robertson was born in Indiana and raised in Sacramento, California. She studied Religion at UC Berkeley and sculpture at Yale University.

Known for her sprawling concentrations of color, shape and the male form, Robertson’s recent bodies of work explore the limitations and possibilities of chemical photography.

Robertson has exhibited internationally, including recent solo shows at The Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art in England and Grand Arts in Kansas City, Missouri, as well as “Greater New York 2010” at MoMA/P.S.1 and “Out of Focus” at Saatchi Gallery, among other group exhibitions.

Robertson is based in Broolyn, New York and is currently at work on the first in a
series of artist books entitled YAY LIFE HA HA DEATH.
