Mumtaz Lalani

Research Fellow at NIESR and Social Entrepreneur

Mumtaz Lalani is a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) where she specialises in migration, discrimination and disadvantage. She is currently launching an ethical employment agency aimed at providing a fair deal to workers in low-paid sectors. She has a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and an MPhil in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Oxford. She is also a Trustee of Kalayaan, an NGO which provides advice, advocacy and support to migrant domestic workers in the UK.
