My son and step children will no longer have that right to live, study and work anywhere across Europe. Their choices have been curtailed by older voters who won't live long enough to be so impacted by this momentous Brexit decision. If this referendum had been biased in favour of those it would most affect, the young, we'd have seen a very different result. Most young people wanted to stay in the EU.

Menopause is still a taboo subject and in our youth-obsessed culture, it can often knock a woman's confidence. It certainly knocked mine. But it really shouldn't be that way. Menopause happens to all women if we live long enough and it can mark the start of an exciting new stage in our lives.

Vian has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize this year. I can think of no more deserving recipient of this award. And her people need the global awareness the award could bring. Maybe then the world will care enough to demand action. Please help spread the word about the genocide of the Yazidis and the continuing enslavement of Yazidi women and girls.

I only spent two weeks in beautiful Cuba but I came away inspired by what the country has achieved despite, at times, great imposed hardship. It seems to me nations around the world can learn a lot from Cuba, especially its nemesis the US.

I'd been concerned about my drinking for a while. It had steadily crept up and there was rarely a day when I didn't drink. Taking the edge off was a favourite reason to reach for the wine bottle in the evening. I deserve a drink right? It's been a hard day. Why shouldn't I indulge my favourite habit?
