Siphokuhle Mkancu

Intern in the Communications and Advocacy unit at the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation

Siphokuhle Mkancu is Communications and Advocacy Intern for The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR). He holds a National Diploma in Journalism and a Bachelors Degree in Media, Communication and Culture from the Nelson Mandela University. He has previously interned at The Herald Newspaper (Tiso Blackstar Group). As a general news reporter, his articles were published on a number of national news outlets. During his time at university, he worked on a fundraising project where he was tasked to develop and implement Public Relations strategies and tactics to raise funds for an NGO. He now works on a number of projects at the IJR that address socio-political challenges.
