5 Cute Animals To End The Week: The Dog With A Right Royal Baby Name

Baby Sussex, you've got competition.

If you’re anything like us then this week has been all about the arrival of the royal baby – the birth, the name and the (adorable) pictures of the new family.

So what better way to celebrate than a royal-themed AOTW? That’s animals of the week if you’re not already down with the HuffPost lingo.

And this week’s five animals are all of the canine kind because what’s better than some handsome hounds?

1. This Dog Who Was Called Archie Harrison First

Harry and Meghan might have read 100 baby name books to settle on their little one’s new moniker but they didn’t consider that there is already a good boy in London who has had the name for some time.

Tom shared a photograph of his dog on Twitter, who is also called Archie Harrison (that’s his full name that they call out at the vets people!) The Sussex family might want to avoid taking the baby to any parks in south London.

2. This Dog Who Plays Jenga

We’ve been saying for some time that dogs are smarter than humans (look they just are, don’t argue) and this dog is really helping strengthen our case.

Unlike most of us who fail at Jenga, this dog has completely smashed it. You can see his owner doubted his game skills, but she needn’t have worried.

3. This Dog Who Makes Friends With Bears

On the note of smart doggos, LOOK at this good boy who totally is playing the game and taking all the rewards. He knows that guarding his family is the right thing to do, but making an ally with the bear for bones is the best thing to do.

4. This Dog Who Is Handling Jealousy Well

These dogs really do just keep getting better and better. This one is trying to handle his jealously well. He knows he wants to steal the space on the sofa but he’s going to be a good friend and at least get the cushion first.

5. This Dog Looking For A Forever Home

And last, but certainly not least, this wonderful English bulldog – Esme – who was found by the Dogs Trust weighing just 11kg.

Esme had been abandoned but after a month of TLC from the staff in Leeds she is now looking for a forever home. Who could say no to that face?
