Edmonton Stabbings: Jason Kakaire Charged With Five Counts Of Attempted Murder

The attacks happened over the course of four days.

A man has been charged with five counts of attempted murder following stabbings in the Edmonton area of London.

The attacks happened between Saturday March 30 and Tuesday April 2, Scotland Yard said.

The last occurred on Tuesday in Enfield. The victim was reported to have been walking with a companion when he was attacked in Fairfield Road.

He was found shortly after by police nearby, the Press Associaiton reports.

The attack happened just days after four apparently random knife attacks in the area.

In a statement, the force said: “Jason Kakaire, 29, from Cameron Close, N18, was charged on Friday, 5 April with five counts of attempted murder.

“He will appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 5 April.

“Officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with this investigation.”
