Matthew Wolfenden has revealed his new-look shaved head, ahead of his ‘Emmerdale’ character’s cancer storyline.
Viewers have already seen Dales favourite David Metcalfe diagnosed with testicular cancer, and actor Matthew has now cut off his locks, ahead of filming treatment scenes.
On Thursday (5 May) he shared a picture of himself, posing with his wife and co-star Charley Webb, on Instagram:
Matthew has previously said that he will also be losing his facial hair, including eyebrows.
Speaking about this decision, he said: “I didn’t want to go half-hearted with it, because that is not fair when there’s people out there that have suffered with it properly, and I am just pretending.”
Matthew isn’t the only member of ‘Emmerdale’ team shaving his head either, as a number of the soap’s crew are also planning to do so, as a show of solidarity.
