Ferne McCann Shares Her Side Of The Story After Adam Collard Altercation

"What was reported was false."

Ferne McCann has set the record straight over an altercation between herself and former Love Island contestant Adam Collard, which took place last month.

It had been reported the two were involved in a heated row at an after party at last month’s National Television Awards, which ended in Adam calling the police on the former TOWIE cast member when she threw her drink at him.

After the incident, Ferne posted a statement revealing she did throw her drink after receiving what she called “serious abuse and intimidation” from Adam, including comments about her one-year-old daughter, Sunday.

Speaking to The Sun, Ferne insisted: “My statement was true. What was out there, what was reported, was false.

“The police were not called. They were already there. Of course they were – it was The O2.”

She added: “The police were actually so lovely, even one of the policemen gave me a big cuddle after. And they couldn’t have been nicer.”

She also insisted that she is “moving on” from the incident, noting: “I’m sure Adam and Zara [McDermott, his girlfriend and former Love Island star] have moved on [too].”

Zara previously denied that Adam had been insulting about Ferne’s child, insisting that she was actually “the one being intimidated” and that he was only sticking up for her.

Ferne is best known as a cast member on The Only Way Is Essex, which she quit in 2016, after appearing on I’m A Celebrity, where she finished in third place.

Since then, she’s presented on This Morning, and more recently landed her own ITVBe reality series Ferne McCann: First Time Mum, following her experiences as a young single mother.
