Gemma Collins And James Argent Joke They've 'F***ed Celebrity X Factor' After Shambolic Aladdin Performance

It definitely wasn't shining, shimmering or, indeed, splendid.

After Katie Price and Peter Andre’s take on A Whole New World, we’d thought the Aladdin song was strictly off-limits to celebrity couples hoping to put their spin on it.

The pair made a bid for the most shambolic version of the classic track during Thursday night’s Celebrity Juice, which even had them admitting they’ve probably messed up their chances of being signed up for Celebrity X Factor.

Until now, both Gemma and Arg had been heavily rumoured to be participating in the revamped version of the ITV talent show later this year.

However, after hearing this, Simon Cowell might now be reconsidering.

After messing up their lines, singing over one another and hitting more bum notes than Sarah Harding on GMTV, Arg turned to Gemma and remarked: “We’ve fucked up Celebrity X Factor, haven’t we?”

Frankly though, we’d say this kind of comedy is exactly what The X Factor needs.

Of course, this is far from Gemma’s first foray into music.

She previously appeared on a celebrity edition of All Together Now, while she is also primed to make a bid for chart glory after forming an unlikely friendship with producer Naughty Boy.

In an interview with The Sun, Naughty Boy, who has worked with the likes of Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Sam Smith and Cheryl in the past, claimed Gemma’s track Come Home is going to turn her into a “superstar”.

“She was born to sing, it’s just that she’s actually taken a different route with it,” he said. “But I think Gemma is going to have one of the biggest songs of the year, I can say that with my hand on my heart.”

He added: “I think people will be surprised when they hear Gemma’s voice.”

We wonder what he made of her Celebrity Juice performance...
