The Loose Women were also shown their animated selves, and needless to say Janet Street Porter was not impressed.

Some people dream of being immortalised in a big-screen animation, but Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield might not be among them after seeing cartoon versions of themselves.

The This Morning presenters were transformed into Pixar-like characters as the show’s Instagram tried out the new internet phenomenon ToonMe on Tuesday.

The app allows you to see what you would look like as a CGI cartoon.

However, Holly and Phil’s transformation actually ended up being a little bit –how can we put this nicely? – terrifying...

Even the pair’s colleague Dr Zoe Williams was forced to admit that Holly had “come off better” than her co-host, as she commented on the post on Instagram.

The Loose Women team also got in on the action on Tuesday, with presenters Charlene White, Janet Street Porter, Linda Robson and guest panellist Paris Fury discovering what they looked like after the Pixar treatment.

“That looks uncannily like my son, that’s a bit creepy,” Charlene said.

Paris was equally unimpressed, remarking: “Well that’s quite scary, I look frightened!”

Linda didn’t realise it was supposed to be her, joking: “It looks like Joan Rivers!”

And Janet was certainly not impressed with the likeness, shouting: “Who is that smiley idiot?! I like my own teeth thank you very much. Got more personality.”

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV, with Loose Women following at 12.30pm.
