The full Glastonbury line-up published today has confirmed Jeremy Corbyn is to make his debut at the world-famous festival in an early afternoon slot.
Organisers today published the detailled programme for this year's event, and revealed the Labour leader will make his appearance on Sunday June 26 - two days after the result of the EU referendum.
Corbyn will appear second on the bill on the Left Field stage under the title: "Jez We Can - Jeremy Corbyn In Conversation."
A day earlier his right-hand man, Shadow Chancellor John McDonell, will also speak. Labour MPs Cat Smith and Clive Lewis are also set to appear on stage during the weekend.
An early Sunday afternoon slot following left-wing journalist Paul Mason may not seem like a prime billing for a politician who aspires to be Prime Minister. But there are positive omens for the Islington North MP.
In 1994, Manchester band Oasis made their Worthy Farm debut, playing The NME Stage. The five-piece were also faced with an early Sunday afternoon billing, and were second up between Britpop also-rans Echobelly and little-remembered British rap group, Credit To The Nation.
The show has recently fetched up on YouTube, and was one of the last before the Gallagher brothers released Definitely Maybe and the band went inter-stellar.
