Joy Morgan: Human Remains Found In Woodland Could Be Murdered Midwife

A church-goer was convicted of her murder and jailed for 17 years in August.

Detectives are investigating whether human remains found in woodland could be those of murdered student midwife Joy Morgan.

The 20-year-old was killed in December 2018 by Shohfah-El Israel, who she met at the Israel United In Christ church in Ilford, east London.

He was found guilty of her murder and jailed for a minimum of 17 years in August, but her body remained missing.

Hertfordshire Police said officers had been called to a suspected human body found in woodland in Chadwell Road, Stevenage.

No identification has yet been made.
