Katie Price is to stand trial after denying using abusive and threatening behaviour outside a school in a row with her ex-partner’s girlfriend.
The media personality said she was “definitely not guilty” when she appeared at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday morning.
Katie is facing two charges of using threatening and abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in the village of Shipley, West Sussex, on 6 September last year.
Prosecutor Georgina Kent told the court Katie is accused of a verbal altercation with Michelle Pentecost – who is now dating her estranged husband Kieran Hayler – and another woman in the playground of a primary school.
The alleged offence is said to have been witnessed by two teachers.
Standing in the dock holding her phone, Katie was asked to enter her plea and said: “Definitely not guilty.”
She was released on bail until she stands trial at Horsham Magistrates’ Court on 3 June, where she is due to give evidence alongside Miss Pentecost.
Katie’s appearance in court was delayed after she failed to turn up to her hearing, instead continuing to enjoy a holiday in Thailand with on-off boyfriend Kris Boyson.
District Judge Amanda Kelly slammed her for showing “a lack of respect for the whole court system” as a result.
Katie was reminded about the importance of attending her next court date, as she appeared on Wednesday morning.
She replied: “I will definitely be attending, don’t worry about that.”
The hearing marked the third time Katie has been in court this year.
Last month, she was given another driving ban, having been convicted of being nearly twice the drink drive limit while driving her pink Range Rover.
In January, she was banned after admitting driving while disqualified. She was also ordered to pay fines for the unrelated offences.
