Photographer Cassie Borcherding is a dab hand at maternity and newborn photoshoots, so when her daughter begged her to take photos of their new kitten, she couldn't really refuse.
The result is a collection of baby-inspired photos guaranteed to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside.
The family adopted the kitten after they found her in their garage one day.
They and were unable to identify an original owner, so decided the small cat must be a stray in need of a permanent home.
"My daughter, who is four, fell in love with her and after much deliberation named her Elsa after the movie 'Frozen'," Borcherding told Bored Panda.
The photos of Elsa are bittersweet for the family as the kitten has recently gone missing.
"We hope she’s safe and being fed somewhere. And we hope she finds her way back to us," Borcherding said.
