Lady Gaga gave one of her fans an experience they’ll never forget during her latest Las Vegas show - albeit for the wrong reasons.
The singer and the fan ended up tumbling off stage together as her Enigma residency returned to Sin City on Thursday night.
After inviting the fan called Jack to join her on stage, she jumped into his arms which led to him losing his footing before the pair plummeted off the side of the stage.
Judging by fan videos of the incident, it looked like a nasty tumble but the Just Dance singer assured fans she - and Jack - were ok.
Returning to the stage with Jack at her side, she said: “It’s amazing. We love each other so much we fell off the damn stage.
“We fell into each other’s arms. We’re like Jack and Rose from Titanic.
“I suppose we should have some tea after that.”
Fans were concerned for the singer’s wellbeing as she lives with fibromyalgia, a rheumatic condition like arthritis that can impair the joints, and cause chronic pain.
In February last year, she cancelled the UK dates of her Joanne world tour due to “severe pain”.
But she shrugged off the fall, reassuring the audience as security guards helped her to her and Jack to their feet.
“Everything’s OK,” she said. “The only thing that’s not OK is we need some stairs for the damn stage so I can get back up.”
The star also took time to console Jack, who was in tears after the accident.
“Don’t worry, everything’s fine. It’s not your fault,” she said, adding: “Could you promise me something? Could you forgive yourself right now for what just happened?”
“She brought him up on stage and asked everyone on the internet to be nice to him,” observed Reddit user UltimaterializerX.
“Poor guy was crying most of the time until she cheered him up.”
Gaga went on to complete the show, including the iconic choreography to Bad Romance.
