Michael Griffiths was left with egg on his face during Wednesday night’s Love Island, thanks to his former partner Amber Gill.
The Islanders were set a challenge in order to try and raise their fellow contestants’ heart rates, and despite dumping Amber last week for Joanna Chimonides, it looks like Michael’s attraction towards her is still there.
After all the girls performed dances for the boys, it was revealed that Michael’s heart rate rose the most for Amber – not Joanna.
The revelation drew some awkward looks and laughs from the threesome and their fellow Islanders, but over on Twitter, people could not stop with the jokes.
The Dirty Dancing task – which also saw the boys perform for the girls – followed a particularly sad evening for Amber, after the events of recent days caught up with her.
Fans of the ITV2 reality show saw her tearfully confess to Maura Higgins and Anna Vakili that she still had feelings for Michael, after new boy Chris Taylor tries to put the moves on her.
“I can’t switch off my feelings. I still like Michael,” she said. “Chris is lovely and he’s got tattoos and he’s tall but I just had something with Michael.”
She added in the Beach Hut: “Having a new boy enter the villa tonight has made me realise that I still have feelings for Michael.”
However, her tears drew little sympathy from Michael and Joanna, who described her tears as “annoying”.
Meanwhile, tonight’s show will see one boy dumped from the Island after the latest recoupling.
