Henna - a plant dye used to draw tattoos on to the body for weddings, festivals and other special occasions - has been used in India and the Middle East for centuries.
Henna tattoos first had a surge of popularity in Western fashion in the 1990s, with many celebrities wearing the temporary tattoos. And now they are back with a vengeance.
In fact the last six months have seen a 66% increase in henna inspired permanent tattoos on Pinterest and now we really want to get inked too.
