Nadiya Hussain has revealed she is totally up for heading to the Australian jungle to take part in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ - she’s just waiting for the call.

While the ‘Great British Bake Off’ winner has ruled herself out of this year’s series, which kicks off in November, she says she’d jump at the chance to be a contestant in the future.

The 33-year-old made the revelation during an interview with HuffPost UK on ‘BUILD’, admitting that she’d relish the chance to take part in the dreaded Bushtucker eating trials, which sees celebrity contestants chowing down on such delights as kangaroo testicles and pig’s vagina.

“That’s the bit I’d love to do,” she said. “I’m scared to fly out of a plane and stuff, but my goodness give me a jug of blitzed up balls. No problem, I’ll have ’em!”

They are not words we ever thought we’d hear coming out of Nadiya’s mouth.

Nadiya explained that she’s used to eating plenty of unusual things thanks to an upbringing that saw her being encouraged to eat “everything”.

She added: “It’s fun! When we first got married my husband said that eating at my parents’ house was like an episode of ‘Fear Factor’ because we eat everything, there’s nothing we don’t eat.

“We grew up on eating brains and liver and tongue and all sorts of stuff, so for me… I’ll drink it. Give me the money! Yeah, no problem.”

However, one TV show we definitely won’t be seeing Nadiya on is ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

During the same interview, she admitted she has turned down offers to appear on the BBC dance show because she “can’t dance”.

Nadiya’s latest book, ‘Nadiya’s Bake Me A Celebration Story’ - her third cookbook and storybook compilation for children - is out today.
