Here’s something we didn’t expect to write today – there’s currently a feud unfolding between Paul Gascoigne and Snoop Dogg.

Gazza hit back back at the rapper after he used images of the retired footballer in an attempt to illustrate the effects of alcohol abuse vs marijuana abuse.

Snoop had posted pictures of Gazza – who has had a public battle with alcohol addiction – at the ages 20 and 47 on Instagram, showing the difference in his appearance under the words “alcohol abuse”.

Underneath, he then shared pictures of himself at the same ages, writing beneath them “marijuana abuse”, seemingly suggesting that it had less of an impact on his looks.

After being alerted to the post, Gazza responded on Twitter, writing:“Just back from doing charity work in Spain then just when U thought it was safe2get out of the water f***ing snoop dog turns up.

“FFS SHANE (his manager) what’s he snooping about for, from GAZZA x.”

He then followed up on Friday morning, posting a picture of a dog, featuring Snoop style braids and a gold chain.

He wrote alongside it: “Morning @SnoopDogg get your lazy arse out of bed it’s walkies time woof woof you ugly twat LOVE GAZZA xxx.”

Former England and Tottenham midfielder Gazza, has had several stints in rehab for drugs and alcohol addiction and has also been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

He was supported by many fans on Twitter in the wake of Snoop Dogg’s post, who praised him for getting his life back on track.

@Paul_Gascoigne8 honestly a lot of people thought the worst would happen to you. But you’ve got on the straight and narrow which a lot of others struggle or never do. Now look at you. Respect
