Roxanne Pallett Marries In Secret: 'You Can Find A Happily Ever After Beyond Tough Times'

The former Celebrity Big Brother housemate tied the knot in New York.

Former Celebrity Big Brother housemate Roxanne Pallett has revealed that she and her partner, firefighter Jason Carrion, have tied the knot in secret.

The pair were married in a private ceremony in New York, after beginning their relationship in the summer of last year.

She told The Sun: “I’m living proof that you can find a ‘happily ever after’ beyond tough times.

“To walk down the aisle in such a perfect fairy-tale setting towards my dream man, was the happiest moment of my life. I’m still floating on a cloud.”

Although she rose to fame playing Jo Sugden in Emmerdale, Roxanne is now probably best known for her infamous stint in the final series of Celebrity Big Brother.

She appeared on the show in 2018, and made headlines when she accused fellow housemate Ryan Thomas of punching her “repeatedly” and “deliberately” in the ribs, which she later admitted had not been the case.

Roxanne had been engaged when she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house, but this relationship came to an end in January last year.

Upon leaving CBB of her own accord, Roxanne stepped down from her then-upcoming work commitments to take time out from the spotlight, and later revealed she’d been diagnosed with PTSD.

Roxanne said last year that her diagnosis had helped her “address the CBB outburst, and past struggles”, which include being trapped in a house fire as a teenager, a past abusive relationship and losing her best friend to suicide, shortly before the death of her grandmother.

Shortly before her CBB appearance, Roxanne appeared on Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls, but was forced to leave after just a few days, claiming the campfire had triggered traumatic memories of the blaze at her family home when she was a teenager.
