Ryanair Strike: Airline Loses Court Bid To Stop UK Pilots Walking Out For 48 Hours

Ryanair has lost a High Court bid in London to block strikes by its UK pilots.

Members of the British Airline Pilots Association will stage a series of strikes after voting in favour of industrial action in a dispute over pay and conditions.

They will walk out from midnight for 48 hours. Earlier, the the Dublin High Court approved an application by Ryanair to stop a proposed pilot strike in Ireland.

Ryanair, which has its main UK base at Stansted, will see many of its airports affected.

Ahead of the High Court ruling, Ryanair said it expected to operate its full schedule of flights to and from UK airports today and Friday despite the planned walkouts.
