Shiregreen Murders: Mother In Court Charged With Murdering Teenage Sons In Sheffield

A mother has appeared in court accused of murdering her two teenage sons.

Sarah Barrass, 34, is charged with killing Blake Barrass, 14 and Tristan Barrass, 13, after an incident in the Shiregreen area of Sheffield on Friday.

She appeared alongside her half-brother Brandon Machin, 37, who is also accused of murdering the boys.

Barrass is also charged with three counts of attempted murder in relation to two other children.

Both were remanded in custody at Sheffield Crown Court.

Judge Roger Thomas QC fixed a trial date for November 12 and said the pair will appear again on June 21.

Detectives have given no indication about the nature of the incident, but have confirmed it was confined to one property and was not a shooting.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
