‘Strictly Come Dancing’ 2016: Laura Whitmore And Giovanni Pernice Are Off To A Strong Start Ahead Of First Live Show

It looks like they're already getting on VERY well...

This weekend, 2016’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestants will perform live on the show for the first time, and we’ve now been given a sneak peek at the how some of their rehearsals are going.

Laura Whitmore and Giovanni Pernice are one of the 16 pairs busy revising their best moves and if this video is anything to go by, it looks as though they’re definitely ones to watch in the competition:

Giovanni is full of praise for Laura in the clip, as she speaks to camera stating: “First day at school! Usually it’s not that easy but because she’s a good student, I want to do something difficult.

“She’s already doing really well”

“He’s being tough on me but I quite like it,” Laura adds. “And I want to impress him as well so I’m trying as hard as I can.”

Laura will face stiff competition though, and Will Young is currently the bookies’ favourite to triumph, with gymnast Claudia Fragapane close behind.

The ‘Strictly’ live shows launch will take place across Friday (23 September) and Saturday, with six pairs dancing on the first show, followed by the other nine on the second.
