Teenagers Arrested After Police Van Collides With Stolen Mini Following Chase

No-one was injured, police said.

A police van has collided with a stolen red Mini it had been chasing which contained three teenage boys.

Officers had been pursuing the car after it was stolen from an address in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, shortly before 2am on Saturday, police said.

The crash happened at the junction of Marsland Road and Lewis Road in Hesters Way, Cheltenham, at around 3am on Saturday.

A Citroen Berlingo van was also damaged during the incident.

Two police officers inside their vehicle and three teenagers aged 13, 14, and 18, who were in the Mini, escaped the collision without any injuries.

The three teenagers, all from Cheltenham, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle and were taken into custody.

Gloucestershire Police said a collision investigation into the circumstances is continuing, and anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and quote incident 34 of February 2.
