Indicative Votes: How Your MP Voted As All Four Alternative Brexit Plans Fail

Nothing got a majority, again.
LOADINGERROR LOADING

MPs have again failed to back a single Brexit plan in a second set of so-called indicative votes on alternatives to Theresa May’s troubled Brexit deal.

Tory Nick Boles quit the party after his Common Market 2.0 plan was defeated by 21 votes, while the customs union plan proposed by Ken Clarke came closest to a majority, falling short by three votes.

Because there were so many abstentions, a second referendum got more votes than Clarke’s plan - but that was also rejected by more MPs, losing by a majority of 12.

A fourth proposal to block no-deal, including by giving MPs powers to order the government to revoke Article 50 and stop Brexit entirely if necessary, was rejected by 101 votes.

So how did your MP vote on a customs union, Common Market 2.0, and a second referendum?

MPs not listed abstained or did not vote for another reason.

Customs Union (Ken Clarke)

Tory former chancellor Ken Clarke’s customs union motion was defeated by 276 votes to 273, majority three.
